Is Melodystats free?
Yes — completely free. If it makes you smile, you can support the project on Patreon.
Do you store my Spotify data?
No database, and nothing about you is written to disk. What Spotify returns is held in the server's memory for a few minutes so the next page loads fast, then expires on its own. Your login stays in an encrypted cookie in your own browser, and logging out destroys it.
What does Melodystats access?
Your top artists and tracks, recently played history, saved library and profile basics. It can also change three things, and only when you press the control that does it: like or unlike a track, start or pause playback on a device you already have open, and create a new private playlist. It never edits your existing playlists.
How do I disconnect Melodystats?
Log out on your profile page, and revoke access anytime at spotify.com/account/apps.
Is Melodystats affiliated with Spotify?
No. Melodystats is an independent project. All music data and artwork are provided by Spotify.
